What is the cutup mark for the GME entrance exam in the Anglo Eastern Maritime Academy?

I don’t know the cutoff. They don’t declare result. but i think it would be 60% up. question are easy but lot’s of question. Most of question from RAC, IC and thermal related. Aptitude comparatively easy than other exam. Series, train, alphabets and working days. There would be lots of question 250+ in psychometric test.

Cutoff marks are not disclosed. During my interview, I got to know that I scored 59/100. So, the cutoff is a minimum of 59 marks. Also, there it was written global average= 41.59 marks. So, try to score above 65 marks and I assume 55 marks also will fetch you a call. There is negative marking also, so be careful.

Why does everyone tell me that the interview of Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy is a little bit harder than other institutes, and instead of selecting students they always try to reject them?

Yes ! Partially you're right.

AEMA's interview is a little bit harder than other institute . It's because, there are many cadets applying for Anglo every year. So , they can't select everyone because of limited number of seats.(160 cadets in August & 80 in Feb )

Still , I won't say it's hard . They don't look for your book knowledge too much , because you've already cleared the written test if you're shortlisted for the interview.

Basically they look for a cadet who is confident , disciplined & have above average fluency in English .

They'll ask for PCM questions as well , but don't worry about them (questions are asked mostly from 10th physics & maths & 11th &12th std. physics , chem).

Keep calm and appear for the interview if you want to join, you'll definitely get selected .

How is your life at Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy ? Have you got what you had expected from the college ?

My life at AEMA was great. It had the best combination of military like training combined with best of the faculty and hostel fascilities. The food was awesome and way better than any other college. Hostels (as well as their toilets) were neat and clean having 2 or 3 cadets shairing a room. All the major sports fascilities were there like swimming, football, cricket, basketball, badminton, TT etc. All other fascilities like laundary, library, internet, Hospital are there.

This is an example of average day of a cadet at AEMA

5:30 Siren and call for muster(fall-in), morning exercise or swimming class till 6:30/7:00

6:30/6:45 Time for shit/shave/shampoo and then for breakfast.

8:30 Second muster of the day.

9:00 Morning classes

11:00–11:15 Tea time

11:30 Morning classes

13:00–1400 Lunch break

14:00 Afternoon classes, this includes practical classes like seamenship, workshop etc which are fun.

17:00 Done with classes, evening tea

17:00–19:30 Play time or can be used for studies during exam days

19:30–20:15 Dinner

20:30 Evening muster

21:00–22:30 study time

PS: This was the schedule in the year 2013-2014 when I did my pre-sea training there. It may vary a little now.

Though we never got to experience the fun of a regular college life but yes this was worth it and I highly recommend anyone to do their pre-sea from AEMA if he/she wants to make a career in shipping.

Life in Anglo eastern maritime academy is best according to me, i m studying there from Feb 2020. Here schedule is very hectic which make our life very good and we didn't not realize the day even how it passes.we have to wake up at 5:30 am in the morning and we have to switch off our room light at 10:00 pm and go to bed. Yes there are some problems like we are not having our Android phone and discipline which is main in this campus but these all these things make our journey and life beautiful. And about food- food was just awesome you will get best food compared to all hostels in India.

My daily schedule in AEMA-

5:30 — MORNING SIREN for wake up.

5:45— ANOTHER SIREN for muster.

6:00-6:30 — EXERCISE/SWIMMING.

6:45–7:15 — BREAKFAST

7:15–8:25— FOR BATH/SHIT and similar activities.

8:30— MUSTER

9:00–11:00 MORNING CLASSES.

11:00–11:15— TEA BREAK.

11:15–1:00— CLASSES

1:00–2:00— LUNCK

2:00–5:30— CLASSES

5:30–6:30— SNACK/PLAYING TIME

6:45–7:15— DINNER TIME

7:15–8:00— FREE TIME

8:00–8:30— MUSTER

8:30–10:00— SELF STUDY.

10:00— LIGHTS OFF.

Yes it's sound like boring/hectic but believe me it's best for discipline.

And of course you are employee already in anglo, you have sponsorship so no worry for job.🤘❣️

What are the questions asked in the Anglo Eastern Maritime Academy G.M.E interview?

Now since you are asking about interview,you must have cleared the online test so congratulations for that.Now coming to interview below are the topics which you should cover and I assure you not even a single question would be asked other than this.

2.Simple vapour compression refrigeration system-block diagram and p-v & T-S diagram along with COP.

3.Laws of Thermodynamics.

4.Boiler mountings specially safety mountings.

5.Material testing-NDT.

6.Workshop tools.

7.Induction motor both synchronous and asynchronous.

8.Internal combustion engines,4-stroke CI engine with p-v diagram.

9.Valve timing diagram of 2&4 stroke Diesel engines

10.Parts of Diesel engines and there brief description.

11.Comparison of 2&4 stroke cycle engine.

12.Bernoulli’s and Archimedes principle.

13.Exhaust turbocharger,it's block diagram of its placement in engine.
